Such beautiful people. But Mike’s (straight) relationships end in the most ridiculous ways. I mean, come on, what was this?

Suits is one of those shows that relies heavily on subtextual homosexuality. I mean, you have these two main protagonists - white, young men - who walk around constantly willing to sacrifice everything for the other from the moment they laid eyes upon each other - and when I say everything, I mean everything. From money, pride, prestige, work, friends, romantic interests, anything. Even willing to betray people who trust them implicitly and who have earned their loyalty through years of friendship and support.
And they keep touching each other and staring deeply into one another’s eyes etc. etc.
They’re also blatantly heterosexual. The show practically throws women after them (although they’ll always, always choose each other first).
Everytime people on tumblr talk about queerbaiting shows, I think about Suits.
Especially when they do things like this. Mike staring soulfully at Harvey while declaring that the piece of pineapple loves him and offering it to him for a bite - and when Harvey looks soulfully back at him he takes the pineapple, spins it around and takes a bite from the side Harvey ate from.
I mean, come on, show!
Don’t get me wrong, I love scenes like this and I lovelovelove the fanfiction we get as a result, but Suits will forever be the most unashamedly queerbaiting show ever.
I will get past this. I will move on. And I will accept that at the end of the day… that I am alone in this.
The best reason to watch Suits.
